There is no new news about the movie other than because Davis-Anderson (the people who put out the DVDs) owns the rights to the DVDs for the series, it kinda messes things up a bit with regards to the direct-to-DVD movie, apparently.
Universal is apparently unable to get the "sales figures" from the season DVD releases.
Rob is to meet with some people from Universal next week to see what, if anything, can be done and if perhaps he could get the rights to take it elsewhere to get made.
